XEOMIN® is a prescription neuromodulator used to temporarily soften moderate to severe upper facial lines caused by repeated muscle movement. It may be used to treat frown lines between the eyebrows, horizontal forehead lines, and crow’s feet. By relaxing the targeted muscles, Xeomin® helps create a smoother, refreshed appearance while preserving natural facial expression.

Xeomin® is made with a double-filtered formulation that removes accessory proteins, leaving the active ingredient—incobotulinumtoxinA. Dr. Yao carefully evaluates your facial anatomy, muscle movement, and aesthetic goals to develop a treatment plan that looks balanced and natural rather than overdone. Results develop gradually, with many patients seeing their full result within about 7 to 14 days. Results are temporary, and maintenance treatments are typically needed to maintain the effect.

How does XEOMIN® work?
Xeomin® is injected into selected facial muscles that create expression lines when you frown, raise your eyebrows, or smile. It temporarily reduces muscle activity in those areas, softening the appearance of dynamic wrinkles.
How is XEOMIN® different from Botox®?
Both are neuromodulators used to soften expression lines, but they have different formulations. Xeomin® is double-filtered to remove accessory proteins. Dr. Yao can discuss which option is most appropriate for your facial anatomy, treatment history, and goals.
How much XEOMIN® will I need?
The number of units depends on the treatment area, muscle strength, facial anatomy, and the result you would like to achieve. Xeomin® units are specific to this product and should not be compared directly with units from other neuromodulators. A consultation is the best way to determine your individualized treatment plan.

Is there downtime?
Most patients return to their usual activities shortly after treatment. Dr. Yao will provide post-treatment instructions and discuss what to avoid immediately after your appointment.
