PicoSure Pro® is a 755 nm picosecond laser that delivers energy in ultra-short pulses to treat selected skin concerns. Depending on the treatment plan, it may be used for benign pigmented lesions, including melasma, as well as acne scars and wrinkles. The appropriate lens and settings depend on the concern being treated and the patient’s skin type.
Optional 532 nm and 1064 nm wavelengths can also be used for tattoo removal. The 755 nm wavelength targets black, blue, and green ink, while the 532 nm wavelength can treat red, yellow, and orange ink. What Skin Concerns Can PicoSure Pro® Treat?
PicoSure Pro® is cleared for tattoo removal and certain benign pigmented lesions, including melasma, nevus of Ota, and Hori macules. With the Platinum Focus lens, it is also cleared to treat acne scars and wrinkles in skin types I–IV.
Is PicoSure Pro® Suitable for All Skin Types?
Suitability depends on your skin type and the concern being treated. The Flat Lens is cleared for benign pigmented lesions in skin types I–VI, while the Platinum Focus lens is cleared for acne scars and wrinkles in skin types I–IV.
